Title: The Loneliest Alpha
Author: T. A. Grey
Series: The MacKellen Alphas
Genre:  Paranormal Erotic Romance
Publisher: T. A. Grey
Release Date:  June 14th, 2013

Synopsis:

One look will change their lives forever.
Lingerie designer Alicia Clarkson just had to open her stupid mouth. Now thanks to trying to defend a fellow pack mate, Alicia’s been blindfolded, tied up, and carted off to the new alpha of the Oregon pack—Gavin MacKellen.

However, the blindfold doesn’t come off so soon as Gavin reveals he’s searching for a mate. But Alicia’s curiosity gets fired up when Gavin refuses to reveal his face to her. Just what happened to him? He talks to her from shadowy corners and behind closed doors. The man is as allusive as a squirrely fox. But Alicia doesn’t play games and the quiet spoken, hoarse voiced alpha doesn’t stand a chance against her. They settle on an agreement, thirty days for them to get to know each other because that’s the only way this cowboy alpha will have it.

Gavin MacKellen needs a mate. But he knows no good woman would ever want to look at his face after the incident he suffered. After one look at Alicia Clarkson all his plans fly out the window. The woman’s beauty has stunned him damn near speechless. She torments his thoughts and Gavin finds himself yearning to know everything about her. He admires her creativity and intelligence, the cool way she handles herself in stressful situations. Most of all, he aches deep in his chest to taste her lips. Those beautiful sweet lips, but in order to kiss her without showing her what a monster he was, he has to get creative.

A relationship forms and as love threatens to grow between them Gavin struggles to cope with his physical appearance in the face of the beautiful Alicia. Will she be the one to stand in the face of a monster and accept or will she turn her back on him as everyone else has?

Blurb/Synopsis:

She makes his blood burn

Dominic Blackmoore meets the woman who captures his mind and body with a look and he’s instantly taken with her. When he was ordered to take another mate quickly after separating from his ex, he loathed the idea. However, after catching sight of his bruid he quickly changes his mind. He finds her utterly captivating, sensually erotic, and yearns to learn everything about her.

But she’s not his bruid

The woman he’s mistaken as his bruid is none other than the event planner, Felicity Shaw, for his mating ceremony. Now Dominic will do everything it takes, even lie to the woman he craves, to keep her at his side. He needs to mate with his bruid in order to win his political campaign but he finds himself falling in love with Felicity Shaw. In the end he must choose between work or love. He may make the right decision, but is it too late to save his lies from hurting Felicity?

He takes her breath away

Felicity Shaw wants more in life. She’ll even lie to get it, which is exactly how she lands a job with the illustrious Blackmoore family. However, it’s the head of the vampire household, Dominic Blackmoore, that has her heart racing and breath catching. The man consumes her unlike anyone ever has before. She can’t resist him though she tries. As she’s forced to work with Dominic she tries to keep away from him but he doesn’t make things easy.

She may want him with a passion she’s never experienced before, but she will not be with him when he’s mating to another woman. It’s either her or no one. But one terrible lies seals their fates together in ways neither of them imagined, threatening their love and the very fabric of their relationship.

Excerpt

The room started to spin. Suddenly she was flung upright and tall, dark, and gorgeous stood in her face with a scowl that made him more attractive.

“That’s not fair,” she said suddenly.

Shaking his head, he kept a hold on her arms to keep her steady. “What’s not fair?”

“That even when you frown you look sexy.” So addled was she that she didn’t see his eyes darken; or if she did, she was busy ignoring it to embrace the foggy mind the drink gave her.

“What did you say?” he asked in a hoarse growl that went straight to her sex.

Felicity shivered and she didn’t know which one of them moved but one of them moved closer to the other. She wished he’d wrap his arms around her and just hold her so she’d know what it’d feel like. Then she’d be on her way and she could go back to her poor life and remember the one time a man like Dominic Blackmoore looked at her like he’d wanted her more than anything.

She looked up into his dark eyes. “I said... I don’t remember what I said,” she whispered softly, honestly.

Somehow they were even closer. His jacket brushed her nipples like a caress.

“This is too soon,” he said just as softly. His voice like a warning...one he wasn’t going to heed.

“What’s too soon?”

Had his head just dipped in closer?

Her heart thumped wildly in her chest and her pulse skyrocketed as desire filled her veins like hot syrup.

One hand, quite warm she noted, squeezed her arm then slid around to her back. Her heart jumped at the caress.

Her head tilted back as she looked up at him. His hand pressed between her shoulder blades and yes, she wasn’t mistaken, he was nudging her forward.

She went willingly, happily. One aroused woman needing him to put out the fire inside her.

“What’s too soon?” she repeated.

His eyes traced over her face then fell to her mouth. With that one hungry look she moaned. Actually moaned aloud.

A hot blush burned her cheeks.

This was crazy.

Before they’d just been subtly flirting, barely touching but now she’d crossed the line—she made a noise. There was no masking that as something else or playing it off. She’d done the unthinkable.

All of her worries were quickly washed away as his eyes darkened with hunger, his body pressed into hers, and then he spoke right against her lips. “It’s too soon to touch you.”

Her voice wavered. “Oh. Why?”

His lips stroked across hers in a barely-there touch that left her leaning towards him for more.

“Because you tempt me to go much further than I should, sweets.”

Her eyelids drifted closed at his hypnotic, deep voice. He’d called her sweets. That too wasn’t something you could take back and pretend didn’t happen. She’d actually moaned and he actually thought she was sweet. Her heart melted.

Holy hell, she wasn’t going to stand here wanting for any longer. Devil Felicity reared her sultry head.

Slowly, she pressed her hands over that expensive suit jacket then ran her hands up. Her eyes followed the movements but paused to gauge his reaction.

He looked hungry, tightly in control, but wary at the same time. Hunger for her but wary of “touching her too soon.” Well, she didn’t have a problem with this “too soon” thing. She might have said so if she could voice something elegant at the moment. Instead she needed her mouth for something else.

Her arms finished their journey and wrapped around his neck. She touched his hair, had to know if it felt as soft as it looked. Moving up his neck, she fisted his dark brown locks and bit her bottom lip.

“Perfect,” she whispered. Just enough give to cling to.

I’m not getting this job but who the hell cares, she thought wildly.

His eyes fluttered shut and his breathing hitched, and then they opened and pierced her on the spot. What happened next actually caught her by surprise.

In a lightning fast move, his arm curled hard around her crushing her into him until they were plastered together, then his hand slid into her hair, his fist wrapping around it twice and his mouth slammed down to hers.

Breath caught. Pleasure shot straight between her legs.

“You’ll make a perfect bruid.”

Felicity blinked slowly as the sensual fog lifted.

What?

She couldn’t have heard what she thought she just heard. It had to be the fog surrounding her, combined with the potent brew he’d given her. Did he just say bruid as in a bride as in the woman a male vampire married to for life?

“That’s an odd thing to say,” she said with an uneasy laugh, the fog receding.

He pulled back, that deep frown back in place as his brows pulled low. “Not really, considering.”

Felicity pulled back too. “Considering what?”

One of his dark brows flew up. “That we’re to be mated.”

“Say what?” she said in a sharp voice.

Before he had a chance to answer, the door downstairs flung open and in walked an older woman who looked no less stunning in her age. She wore a fine cream-colored dress with a matching jacket that had one button holding it closed. Felicity recognized Mrs. Blackmoore in an instant.

“Dominic, are you in here?”

Dom shot Felicity a scary look as if his mother’s intrusion seriously pissed him off. He called out, “What is it?”

His mother turned around and gazed up. Felicity cursed and tried to duck out of his arms but he only tightened his grip, keeping her locked snuggly against him.

At the sight of them together, his mother’s jaw dropped open and a deep flush colored her face. “Who is that!”

“My bruid Julianna Greenwich, who do you think? Now get out of here, mother.”

Felicity and Mrs. Blackmoore had about the same response—they both froze in place. Only his mother recovered much, much faster from her shock.

“That is not your bruid Julianna Greenwich. Julianna is waiting in the study for you, where she’s been waiting for nearly an hour!”

Suddenly Felicity found herself the focus of two intense eyes, both russet with a touch of gold in the center.
The touch on her arm became cruel. “And just who are you?” he asked and for the first time she heard him angry, and it sent a wave of fear down her spine.

She licked her lips. “My name is Felicity Shaw. I was invited here for a job interview.”

Even though she barely spoke above a whisper, his mother down below heard every word. “A job interview. That’s the event planner for the mating ceremony, Dominic! You are messing with the help,” she said.

Dominic let her go and stepped away. It was as if an Arctic chill blasted over her at his cold gaze. All the passion that had been between them froze as surely as water in a freezer. Cold touched her where his heat had been and an even colder feeling settled in her chest like a hard knot making it hard to breathe.

“Ms. Shaw if you’ll come down here we’ll get this all straightened away, and Dominic might you see to your actual bruid. She’s waiting in the study.”

Dominic’s gaze stayed locked with hers. God, he looked fucking pissed. Felicity rather understood that. She had just been ready to get naked with him on the expensive rug and he was supposed to be mated with someone else? And he’d thought she was the woman? She had too many questions but couldn’t ask any of them. One thing was for sure, disappointment crushed her like an anvil sitting on her chest.

Dom stepped up close but not touching. “You did this as a game. To play with me, to try a hand at a Blackmoore, for blackmail? Just what did you get out of it?”

He spoke to her as if he hated her not in that warm way he had before. She flinched but held his gaze. “It wasn’t a game. I came here for a job interview.”

“And you thought this,” he thrust his hand out to encompass the bar, her drink, where they’d just kissed so passionately, “was how I conduct an interview?”

Shame washed over her, burning her face red. “Well, no, I mean, I don’t know. How was I supposed to know you had a bruid waiting in the other room? Maybe you should have asked me for my name then! I assumed you knew who I was. This isn’t entirely my fault.”

The corner of his mouth twitched and not with a smile. “I don’t want to see you again. Do you understand me? I don’t ever want to see your face in my home.”

Call Me Crazy
by Quinn Loftis
Due to Release May 2013

Synopsis

“I’m looking out from inside the chaos. It must be a one-way mirror because no one seems to be able to see back inside to where I am. The looks on their faces, the judgment in their eyes, tells me everything I need to know. The most frustrating part about the whole messed up situation is that even though I’m the one that they stare at in shock, I am just as shocked as they are. I know no more than they do of why I lose control. What they don’t know is that I am more scared of myself than they could ever be.” ~ Tally Baker

After a devastating turn of events, seventeen year old Tally Baker is admitted to Mercy Psychiatric Facility where she is diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. She has come to a place where she honestly believes that her life is over. Her mind tells her that she will never smile or laugh again, that she will never be normal again. It is in this unlikely place that she meets two people, different in every way, yet both critical to helping her realize that she has so much more living to do.

Candy, a cantankerous sixty year old Mercy Psychiatric patient, is hell bent on driving everyone as crazy as she is. Candy shows Tally that, regardless of her diagnosis, the ability to push on and live her life to the fullest is her choice and hers alone. In the midst of Tally’s oftentimes humorous, sometimes heart-wrenching, escapades with Candy, a new patient is admitted to Mercy—a Native American woman named Lolotea. Along with this new patient comes a daily visitor, her son, Trey Swift. At first glance, it is obvious to Tally that he is incredibly handsome and unbelievably caring. But what she learns through her second glance, and many thereafter, is that there is much more to Trey than he ever lets on. It is during these daily visits that Trey and Tally build a friendship far deeper than either of them truly realize. With Trey, Tally feels for the first time since being admitted that someone is looking at her as a person and not as a disease. Trey begins to make it clear that he wants more than friendship, but she knows that she can never give him more. How can she, when she won’t even give him the truth?  Tally doesn’t tell Trey that she is a patient at Mercy, and she doesn’t ever plan to. Her plans go up in flames when she finds out that Trey is a new student at her school, the school where her brokenness was found out in the floor of the girl’s bathroom in a pool of her own blood.

Review

What an amazing end to such a unbleivable series. I will miss the shadowfalls gang so much, they will always have a place in my heart.

On Kylie's return to shadowfalls her heart will finally choose between Lucus & Derek, who will be the to win her heart in the end? She will once again have to solve the mysteries that surroumd her. Kylie will find herself faced with making a decision that will effect not only her but the future of her kind. Kylie will find herself having to fight for her life and for someone she loves, will she be able to protect the person she loves and make it out alive?

Because I don't want to give away who she ends up with, I'm just going to say that this was the prefect ending for Kylie. After reading the end of this book I felt a rightness about how it ended and I would love to see a short story about the person who she didn't pick, so I know he was happy too (it does hint that he will be happy).

If you love Della as much as I do don't forget to check out Saved at Sunrise (e-book only).

Tour: Succubus Rising by BR Kingsolver

Urban Fantasy / Paranormal Romance

Book 3 of the Telepathic Clans Saga, Succubus Rising

The Goddess has plans for Brenna and Rebecca. And the Goddess has a wicked sense of humor.
Rebecca Healy is a true wilder, growing up with no contact or knowledge of other telepaths. Discovered by a Clan member on the streets of San Francisco, she felt like she’d hit the jackpot. Finally, she knew what she was, or at least she thought she did.

When Brenna O’Donnell, long-lost heir of the O’Donnell Clan, and the strongest telepath in history, is returned to her family, she and Rebecca form a tight bond. Brenna has it all, looks, money, power, and men falling all over her.

Rebecca isn’t jealous, but it would be nice to find someone who would really love her and stick around in the morning. She’s intrigued by a handsome South American general, but of course, he has his sights set on Brenna. Carlos de Vargas wants more than love. His Clan has its back to the wall, and they hope for an alliance with O’Donnell. An alliance that would lead to war.

The story began in The Succubus Gift and continued in Succubus Unleashed. In Succubus Rising, questions are answered and new mysteries are revealed.

I made silver and turquoise jewelry for almost a decade, ended up in nursing school, then took a master’s in business. Along the way I worked in construction, as a newspaper editor, a teacher, and somehow found a career working with computers.

I love the outdoors, especially the Rocky Mountains. I’ve skied since high school and I’ve hiked and camped all my life. I love to travel, though I haven’t done enough of it. I’ve seen a lot of Russia and Mexico, not enough of England. Amsterdam is amazing, and the Romanian Alps are breathtaking. Lake Tahoe is a favorite, and someday I’d like to see Banff in Canada.

I have a very significant other, two cats and two Basset Hounds. I’m currently living in Baltimore, nine blocks from the harbor, but still own a home in New Mexico that I see too infrequently.

Long excerpt:

Brenna had no choice about taking a limo, so she offered a ride to the group. They all went out to eat together then rode to the reception. Watching Jeremy and Margaret over dinner, it became obvious to her they were falling hard for each other. She counted Jeremy as a close friend and was happy for him.

Still fresh to Washington, Brenna enjoyed the reception. It was so much like being in a movie with all the beautiful dresses and elegant surroundings. Carlos was the perfect escort, introducing her to many influential people, and she also made a number of contacts through Margaret. There was some hostility from a few of the Argentine telepaths, but the ambassador was very polite. Indeed, he was complimentary about her work on the Ecuadorian trade treaty and asked for her card.

Flushed and feeling quite good, she thanked Carlos for holding her coat as they prepared to leave. He proposed a place for late drinks and dessert and Margaret agreed. Rebecca called for the limo and they went outside.

There was a line of cars waiting, and their limo was fourth in line. As they waited, she watched the other people standing around. Finally, their car pulled up, and as Carlos stepped forward she had a flash of danger from the entrance of the embassy.
“Gun,” Rebecca cried.
Jeremy pushed Margaret behind him and leapt at Carlos, pushing him. Brenna located the woman holding the gun and smashed her shields, seizing control of her mind, but it took far longer than it normally did, and she was too late to stop her pulling the trigger. The shot sounded very loud, and she saw Jeremy and Carlos fall.

JEREMY! A mental scream assaulted the minds of all who were able to hear it.

Rebecca jumped toward the shooter, wresting the pistol from her hand. O’Donnell Protectors swarmed the scene along with the security guards from the embassy. Hands urged Brenna into the limo, and she resisted only long enough to make sure Margaret was with her. She saw Rebecca grab the shooter and physically pick her up and carry her to the car, throwing her in the open trunk. One of the Protectors slammed it shut while a line of O’Donnell Protectors stopped several men who attempted to follow her.

Clambering into the limo, Brenna saw Carlos who was pale but alert. Jeremy lay against the far door, holding his arm and covered in blood.

Margaret frantically scrambled toward him, but Rebecca restrained her.

“Let Brenna see to him,” Rebecca spoke into Margaret’s ear, “she’s a healer. He’s only wounded and it’s not too bad. He’ll be okay, Margaret, he’ll be okay.” She tried to enter the older woman’s mind to calm her, but found shields blocking her.

My God, Brenna, she’s a telepath.

I know. She’s the one who screamed, Brenna answered. Then she entered Jeremy’s mind and sought out the wound. He’d taken the bullet in the right bicep, but it missed the bone. She searched for any damage to major veins or arteries and didn’t find any. A huge sense of relief rushed through her and she started working on shutting off the bleeding. The other Protector in the back of the limo with them handed her a pressure bandage.

I need two. It’s all the way through, she told him. He fumbled in his kit and handed her another. She got Jeremy out of his jacket and ripped the sleeve of his shirt, exposing the wounds. She applied the pressure bandages and then took the roll of tape the Protector handed her. The wound covered, she began shutting off the bleeding with her Healing Gift.

Do we need a hospital? Rebecca asked.

No, Brenna answered. The limo took a turn and she knew it was headed for the O’Donnell compound.

Two healers were awaiting them when they arrived. She turned Jeremy over to them and looked down at the blood on her dress. It would never come out of the silk.

“Well, this was an expensive evening,” she said to no one in particular. Turning around she found the rest of her party standing in the foyer. Rebecca still held Margaret and Carlos stood with Protectors close around him.

“He’s okay,” she told them and saw them relax. “Where’s the bitch who shot Jeremy?”

“On her way to the basement,” Rebecca told her. “Do you still have her mind?”

“Yeah. Margaret, Jeremy is going to be all right. The wound isn’t very bad. Do you understand me? He’s going to be all right.”

Townsend stared at Brenna, wide-eyed and confused.

Margaret, Jeremy’s going to be okay. He’s not badly hurt, Brenna sent on a spear.

“Oh my God. What are you?” the congresswoman asked, terror filled her voice.

I’m a telepath, just like you are. Margaret, we’re the good guys. Please, let us help you.

“A telepath?” Margaret said, her face blank and her eyes wild.

Brenna could feel the chaos in the woman’s mind. Using her O’Donnell Gift as carefully and gently as she could, she found her way through weaknesses in the woman’s shields and managed to lay a comfort on her. Margaret calmed, and the tension seemed to drain out of her body. She slumped and Rebecca held her up. Two Protectors picked her up and carried her to an upstairs bedroom.

Character Interview

Blog host: Today our guest is Collin Doyle from The Telepathic Clans Saga.

Blog host: What is the name of the book where we'll find you?
Collin: I’m in all of BR Kingsolver’s books, The Succubus Gift, Succubus Unleashed, and the new one, Succubus Rising.  I’m the love interest of Brenna O’Donnell, the richest, most beautiful telepath/succubus in the world.

Blog host: Can you tell us a little about it?
Collin: The Succubus Gift is about a young woman’s (Brenna) coming of age and discovering her telepathic powers. She’s looking for love but also trying to deal with people who want to kill her. Succubus Unleashed is a continuation of the story. As Brenna becomes comfortable with being a succubus and integrates into the Clan, her adventures and loves make up the story. Succubus Rising is a bit more about our friend Rebecca and the conflicts between the telepathic Clans.

Blog host: Tell us a little about yourself. Where do you fit into the story? What should we know about you?
Collin: Well, as I said, I’m Brenna’s boyfriend. I’m 35, though since telepaths age slowly, I look about 10 years younger. I’m a powerful telepath in my own right, with 12 telepathic Gifts. I’m tall and very fit with brown hair and blue eyes, a common combination for an Irishman. I’m the Clan’s Director of Security, head of the Protector force and one of the most accomplished computer hackers in the world.

Blog host: So is this a paranormal romance novel? Do you and Brenna have a smooth or rocky path in your romance?
Collin: It’s more of an urban fantasy, since the romance isn’t the prime story line. It’s a little rocky. She’s suspicious of me because I have so many girlfriends. It’s not my fault, really. I’m an incubus and women are naturally attracted to me. It’s rude to say no to a woman, don’t you think?

Blog host: How do you feel about the story you're in?
Collin: I think it’s a pretty good story. It’s not a standard run-of-the-mill paranormal fantasy. It has a lot of unique ideas and BR lets the characters develop. I think the series was originally meant to be rather light-hearted, but it’s taken on a darker side. I think it has most of what you’d want in a story – humor, romance, danger, and the good guys win. I have the opportunity to show that I’m not just strong, but gentle and caring.

Blog host: Do you like being a character in the book?
Collin: After being imprisoned in BR’s mind for months, it’s great to get out and meet the world. I do get to do a lot of exciting things, and I get to have a lot of sex, which is kind of nice. I wish people would stop trying to kill Brenna, though. What happened to romances where the heroine’s greatest fear was having a hair out of place?

Blog host: How do you see your future? Without giving anything away about the story, naturally.
Collin: As I said earlier, I’m going to be in a number of books. I’m hoping that Brenna will understand that I really love her. I don’t mind that she has a lot of lovers, so I don’t think she should hold my little dalliances against me.
A lot of people might think that Brenna and I have a weird romance because we’re not sexually monogamous. Since we’re a succubus and an incubus, we don’t expect sexual fidelity from each other. But we are madly in love. When a telepath meets their soul mate, it’s not just an expression. We’ve merged our souls, and we’ll always be connected.

Blog host: What do you know about your author's plans? Can we expect to see you in any future stories?
Collin:  BR says the 4th book about Brenna will come out in 2013, but I haven’t seen the outline for that one. I assume it will tie up all the loose ends from the first three books, and since it’s about Brenna, I’ll be there.

Blog host: Let's say they make a movie about this book. Who do you want to play you, and why?
Collin: Wow, that’s a hard one. Matthew McConaughey, maybe, or Matt Damon. You don’t want to be portrayed by someone who can’t act.

Cover Reveal: Call Me Crazy by Quinn Loftis
