Review: No Remorse

No Remorse
By: MaryLynn Bast
Series: Heart of a Wolf Series

This book is for 18+

~ Summary ~

Due to her unusual birth, Amber has abilities no other werewolf has ever possessed. On the run since childhood, the lone wolf avoids contact with other werewolves at all cost, continually moving, constantly looking over her shoulder and always alone.

Everything changes when Amber saves a werewolf from the mere brink of death, Blake, the only werewolf to ever protect her. Love blossoms, but not without tribulations when Amber realizes she must help her new pack rescue a member who is being held hostage by a rival pack.

Warring with emotions of going from lone wolf to the pack leader’s mate, Amber must decide if she is willing to risk Blake’s life to know true family and friendship despite the fact that the Council is hell bent on locating her and will stop at nothing until she is found. Will Amber’s special abilities be enough to keep everyone safe?

~ Review ~

Amber is a werewolf, and she has special abilities that others of her kind don’t have. She has been on the run since she was young with her mother. Amber is left on her own after her mother is taken by council enforcers.

Amber comes across an accident, her wolf is eager to go over, but when she does, Amber stops dead in her tracks as she realizes, that it’s Blake the only person who ever protected her. Back in school, he was the only one she felt safe with, she knew he had feeling for her and she did too but she couldn’t let him come and get hurt because of her. Amber has spent years alone not letting anyone closes to her, but she’s getting tired of running. Amber and Blake start to rekindle their love for one another and she wondered if she could really belong with Blake and belong with a pack.

When pack members are taken, Amber come up with a plan to save them, she will have to share her special abilities with her new the pack. Amber starts to care about what happens to the pack and it scares her.

Will the council come for her? And if they do will she be able to protect Blake and her new pack or will she lose everything she cares about.

~ My thoughts ~

I thought No Remorse was a great read, the storyline was unique, and I really enjoyed it. I found myself wanting Amber to find a place she could stay and be safe, I liked Amber because she’s a very strong and independent. What I wanted for Blake was to be with me, what a girl can wish. I wanted him to be with Amber because he loved her so much and never stopped. Blake is loyal, a protector, and very loving. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. I would definitely recommend this book.
